So I’ll ruin the post by starting the post with I want to post about!! Now what was it?! : D

IT’S A BOY!  No, IT’S TWINS!!  ACTUALLY, IT’S TRIPLETS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I’m not kidding!  Only goats do that and mine did early this morning!!!!   Last night I noticed that Molly, my Nubian goat had some signs that kidding was near, so the setting up and around of pens began!! We had to move the two baby goats  from the kidding pen (that had the heat lamp) to where the buck was.  And the buck had to go to the other side of the barn in another pen!!    Believe me, its not that easy!! But I’m glad that I did it because then, I would have had to do it early this morning!   (Thank you Jessica for helping me!!! : )   Last night, before I went to bed, I set my alarm clock for 3:00a.m. (and convinced a sister to go out with me ) so I could check on her.  Last year in February, She had 2 kids in the middle of the night and one got the tips of it’s ears frostbitten!  Later on, they fell off.  Yes, I did mean the ears!!  But not the whole ear, the bottom halves.  In this picture -if you can see it- is him (and me!) and his ears, or lack of ears : D  He is a bit older and this is at our 4-H fair.

Here is him and his sister when we had to bring them inside because it was so cold!  At least once a year we end up bringing a couple of goats inside.

Aren’t they adorable?!?!

Okay, I think I was getting on a bunny trail! So, about getting up early…I ended up sleeping through my alarm clock because I did not fall asleep until almost midnight (I am NOT a night person!  And that was due to sleeping during the day–due to being sick : )  My alarm clock is a loud alarm clock!!  I have NO idea how I can sleep through it!  But, that is beside the subject.  Jessica woke me up at 6:30 for breakfast and I realized that I had not gotten up at 2!!  I jumped out of bed and went straight to the barn!!  And this is what I saw!!!

I just LOVE goats!!  Especially BABY GOATS!!!!!!

In the top picture, is the mother and one of the bucks, (2) is the doe and (3) is the other buck!  They look like Alpines because their father is an Alpine.  I like crossbreed goats…you can confuse people with them!!  ; D  (Once I had a Oberhäsli/Nubian and it looked like an Alpine!!)

I got up early for breakfast…but had breakfast at 8:30ish.    Now, they have shirts on, (we cut a sleeve off of an old sweatshirt and cut a place for their legs…they look quite cute!)  so you can’t see their markings as well.  Since the doe look almost exactly like one of the bucks, I put a pink shirt on the doe and white on the bucks.

Well, I suppose I should stop…I have sister waiting to get on. : )

Oops!! Almost forgot…while looking for pictures from last year, I found this…our pet lion!  He is quite nice actually, although he does look rather frightening in this picture.

Cassia left me a comment. πŸ™‚ So I thought I would (finally!) come by and leave you a comment while it was still fresh in my mind.

I'm terribly sorry about not coming by more. It seems I always forget to comment on my friends blogs because I am so busy writing my own blog posts! Haha

Glad you stopped by tho. It was lovely hearing from you. I'm glad you liked the mint thins, Cassia. πŸ™‚ let me know if you try them.

Those babies are SO CUTE! I love their face pattern. So pretty. πŸ™‚ Have to come by and see them sometime, won't we? Hopefully sooner than later.

Well, hope your night is blessed, and thank you for coming by my blog.

    Love,

Aw, goats are precious! A couple years ago my sister and I "babysat" several goats for vacationing friends. We've milked them too, and visited with them sometimes in their stalls at different times while we visited throughtout the months with the family. πŸ™‚

Do you use your goats milk? Our family eats as naturally as we can, and if we are able to move to the country someday, we plan on getting some goats for milk, and just for pleasure.

    You have been tagged!

All you have to do is find the fifth picture on the fifth file of your picture documents and blog about it… then pass it on to five others!

    Hi Susannah,

glad you're goats kidding went well :). You said to keep the comments coming, so I'll try ;). I hate not getting up when the alarm goes off. This week, I turned it on twice, for 5:00, but then slept until 7, and I was sure my alarm never went off….it hadn't….it was set on 12:00 noon :). Tell Jessica I mailed her letter, so she should get it Monday. Hope you all get well soon!

    Susannah,

Congratulations on your new kids! : D I absolutely love baby goats… hopefully we'll have some this year. And hopefully I get to spend more time with the ones this year. I didn't last year. : / Baby goats are the best part of having goats, though.

Sorry to hear you guys have whooping cough. Hopefully you'll continue to get better. Remember to lay off the desserts, okay? ; )
