Hello friends 🙂 We promise that Florida posts are on their way 😀 We just got all of the pictures onto the posts yesterday, so now all we need to do is write about them 😀
This is just a quick post to ask for prayer for a friend of ours from church…her name is Meredith and she’s just been diagnosed with a brain tumor. Meredith is only seventeen years old, and Cassia is especially close to her of all of the girls in our family.
We just found out Sunday that the tumor was a fast-growing, stage 3 malignant tumor, right in the center of her brain over the hypothalamus (which controls all your automatic functions, such as breathing, heart rate, etc.), making the tumor very difficult to remove.
The doctors are not holding out any guarantees that they will be able to completely rid her of cancer. They were able to remove one-third of her tumor yesterday and they (the doctors) were happy with the way the surgery went.
If you think of her, we (and her family! She is the oldest of 10) would so very much appreciate prayers for her! Prayers that He would heal Meredith, that He would cover Meredith with His love and peace, that there would be as little damage to her brain as possible, that the cancer would not spread throughout the rest of her body…
She already has short-term memory loss that the doctors say could be permanent. However, we serve a very powerful Savior 🙂
Through some of our reading recently, God has been reminding us that He loves to show Himself strong when circumstances look humanly impossible or hopeless…and on the way down to visit her Sunday, the verse popped into my head, “Now shalt thou see what I will do…” and “Is the Lord’s arm waxed short that He cannot save?”
We heard that if Meredith had went to the ER just 24 hours later, she would not have been with us today…so we know that God has plans for her!
Thank you muchly!

I stopped right now and said a prayer for Meredith. Please let her know that believers everywhere are holding her up in prayer.
Thank you so much!
Praying!
Btw, I love your new blog. It’s so pretty.
that’s terrible! 🙁 She’s in my prayers! 😉
Definitively Meredith and her family will be in our prayers. We serve a God that is all powerful and He can work miracles. May God be with her and put His healing hand on her.
My girls and I will be praying for Meredith and her family too.
We will be praying for Meredith and her family! How sad!
