You probably have noticed our lack of posting on our blog…about anything besides Wordless Wednesdays and Seven Sister’s Treasures 😀  We’ve noticed it ourselves and commented to each other one day that we haven’t been posting very many “everyday-what-we’re-doing” posts.  We also remembered how many drafts we’ve sarted and never finished…33 of them!  It will soon be down to 32 once we post this one 😀

This post was actually a “Tell Me Thursday” to one of our Wordless Wednesdays…it had the pictures all ready to go, but no words.  I guess we got busy!

Looking at all these green garden pictures bring back such nice (warm!) memories!  Right now it is snowing and blowing outside and we have a blizzard that is supposed to dump on us soon.  Walking barefoot through the garden sounds oh so lovely!

Our wonderful cucumber plants that did so well…we were getting a bushel and a half a day for a while!

I’m not sure what he was upset about…or maybe he was squinting in the sun 😀

Isaiah loved running in the dirt…and sometimes he and I would ‘race’ each other across the garden, in the ‘soft dirt’ part 😀

Our pumpkins didn’t do as well this year–do you think weeds might have something to do with that?  However, the few we did get were so pretty!

Oh!  Those weeds! Seeing these pictures also reminds me of the hour a day we’d spend pulling up the little monsters.  It was hard work, but the kind of hard work that makes you feel good 😀

The potatoes peeking through!  We planted two 100 foot rows of them and are still eating them.  It was so exciting to dig them up!  I told the girls, “Look!  Our very own potatoes that we grew!” 😀

After we pulled up the weeds, we left them in heaps to take care of later.  We probably had at the very least, 5 to 7 of these heaps.  Terrible!

The finished result was worth it though, to be able to see DIRT in between the rows of green!

We all loved the strawberry patch (minus the weeds that seemed to take up residence near them)!  This was the first year we could eat from the plants and it was very nice to walk over there for a little snack of strawberries 😀

The potatoes, half weeded.  The other row of potatoes is underneath that row of weeds that you see!

There’s Isaiah again, way in the back 🙂

Just since I’ve started this post, the snow has really started to come down..it’s almost like a shaky dome kind of snow and very pretty!  It looks like the blizzard might come after all 😀

But I’ll still look forward to walking barefoot in the warm dirt sometime…soonish?

It’s rather weird looking at delightful summer pictures, and envisioning the dirt beneath one’s feet and the breeze brushing through one’s hair.—But a quick look outside ruins all that when there’s 3 foot snowdrifts out there!

Anyways, you brought a bit of sunshine to my day. Your photos are lovely!

    Blessings,
    ~ Tarissa
