4H Fair 2016: Goat Show & Ice Cream

It’s that time of year again!  When eating ice cream for breakfast while petting your goat, dressing up llamas in costumes, and sleeping in the tack pen are normal everyday occurrences 😀

Today was the first big day…the goat show!

We had so much fun posting every day last year during the fair, that we wanted to try and do it again this year 😉  So here you go…Day One!

 

There were eleven pages of classes, goats, and 4H-ers showing…and my siblings had to wait for nine of those pages before they began showing.  So they were killing time visiting with a friend, eating ice cream…and putting duct tape on their brother’s mouth.  Or maybe that was his idea?!  It was a good idea, lol!

This year marks Anna’s tenth and last year in 4H!

And it’s Isaiah’s first year!  It’s so weird/different/strange to think that we won’t have anymore first year members.  Always before there was another one coming up 😉

Of course we always get our Leesburg Lions Dairy Bar ice cream 😉  There’s always this joke about how much ice cream we eat at the fair, and as some of you remember, our whole family has been known to consume over 100 of these milkshakes in a week!  We get asked all over the fairgrounds, “What’s your total so far?!” (Our current count is 30, in case you were wondering!).

 

Daddy felt well enough to come for a bit tonight and see most of the goat show!  He still feels pretty tired, and doesn’t get out a lot, but the doctor said he’d feel this way for about a month. Thank you to everyone who’s been praying for him!

 

I might not get tomorrow’s post done tomorrow night because it’s a looonnngggg (FUN!) day at the llama tent, but we’ll have plenty of pictures of dressed up llamas on Wednesday 😉
