Um so does this mean it’s time to butcher the chickens or just to have a massive chicken-eating contest?

haha, that’s what i guessed, but I thought with everything with 4-H going on last week that just maybe you ladies had some extra special hidden talents…. πŸ™‚ I actually just experienced chicken butchering for the first time last week! But I think once was enough for me!

I Figured, it was butchering chicken! I like you blog! We might move to Idaho but were waiting to see if my dad has a job up there.

Cool! How many chickens did you butcher? Is it as messy as one would imagine??

Well, it is pretty messy…we have two hoses that we are always spraying the tables off, or cleaning the meat with, so areas of our work spot get kind of wet! The rest of the mess is pretty contained. You just wear old clothes so that you don’t care if you get it on you πŸ˜€ We did 30 chickens last night πŸ™‚

Hi Girls; We finished our chickens a few weeks ago. We were blessed with 68 of them( we raise 100 yearly). We lost quite a few of them this year. Hopefully, you didn’t get too annoyed with the flies πŸ™‚
