Meredith is  in the hospital again:

“A CT scan showed that the shunt was fine. The tumor is considerably larger than it was when she was admitted initially on February 3, even though surgery later at Riley had reduced it by one third. It is a very fast growing cancer.

She is comfortable at this time.”

She is responding by squeezing her mom and dad’s hand, but can’t really respond otherwise. Things are not looking very good.

Thank you so much for all of your prayers for her and her family!

    Oh, poor girl! It’s so sobering to see someone just my age who is going through something like this. 🙁 Have her parents heard of the Burzynski clinic? They cure incurable cancers and the victims are as good as new, it’s really amazing.

    Poor, dear Meredith. I shall pray for her and her family!

    Blessings, Mrs. Mari

    Do you have an address where we can send a card to Meredith and her family?

    I thought they were going to try the other opinion. Did the certain time run out? I hope she gets a whole lot better really quick!

      They were going to try, but it looks like time is running out. The tumor is has grown to a size even bigger than when they first found it 🙁

    Oh, I am praying harder than ever for Meredith and her family now! My heart goes out to them – This must be so horribly hard for all of them! We serve a powerful, loving God, and we know that He will do what is best, whatever that may be. I am reminded of the song “Bow The Knee” which says:

    There are moments on our journey following the Lord
    Where God illumines ev’ry step we take.
    There are times when circumstances make perfect sense to us,
    As we try to understand each move He makes.
    When the path grows dim and our questions have no answers, turn to Him.

    Chorus:
    Bow the knee;
    Trust the heart of your Father when the answer goes beyond what you can see.
    Bow the knee;
    Lift your eyes toward heaven and believe the One who holds eternity.
    And when you don’t understand the purpose of His plan,
    In the presence of the King, bow the knee.

    There are days when clouds surround us, and the rain begins to fall,
    The cold and lonely winds won’t cease to blow.
    And there seems to be no reason for the suffering we feel;
    We are tempted to believe God does not know.
    When the storms arise, don’t forget we live by faith and not by sight.
    Chorus

    Thanks again for the updates. I too would like to get an address so that I can send them a little note. 🙂

      Thank you so much for your comment, Karen! And for taking the time to write out that song…it’s a wonderful reminder that He is in control!

      {hugs!}
