I have been wanting to post about this for a very long time, and since we used one of the pictures from when we went sledding for our Wordless Wednesday, this was the perfect opportunity to post about our sledding fun!

On January 10th, Kate and Emily’s family invited us over to go sledding with them…it was SO much fun!  The last time we had really been sledding was several years ago, so this was a treat!  Their family has 12 children, ours has 9, so altogether there were 21 of us, not including our parents .

Here we have Rebekah, Susannah, Noah, Cassia, Anna, Valerie, Emily, Kelsey, Esther, Isaiah K., Jessica, Paul, and Mary getting ready to go down the hill altogether.  We hung on to each other’s sleds or arms and tried to go down in one whole group 😀  In the back is Leah, Hannah, Mr. K. and Daddy getting ready to push us down 🙂

Going down in pairs:

I must say that Emily was quite a lot of fun to go down with!  Here you see us on two separate saucers, but once we went on only one, with Emily in my lap, and another time she just hung on to me and dragged behind 😀  It was a lot of fun…especially when we’d go over the "bump" in the snow that would send you flying into the air before you crashed down onto the hard snow again!

Valerie…isn’t she a sweetie?!

Even James braved the cold! At least for a little while : )

I like this picture 🙂  Daddy and Mommy getting ready to sled down together

Enjoying some nice hot chocolate!

Many thanks to Mrs. K. who stood in harms way and took pictures of us as we were sledding towards her!!!

If you want to see more pictures see Mary’s post at her mom’s blog  here.

Hi! Looks like everyone had a great time =)

Since all of us are grown ups now and live away from our parents, we don't get to do fun things together anymore. Lucky you to have friends/family around.

That looks like FUN!! We don't have a very good sledding hill, so we only have one sled. This year we had a lot of snow, so bought another sled, but it broke 🙁 I am tired of the snow and am ready for spring, as we probaly all are 🙂
