Today…Monday, October(!) 5th 2009

Outside my window…it is getting cooler! 46º right now 🙂  The leaves are turning and we are just now getting the last of the vegetables from the garden.

I am thinking…that we never realize how much we depend on the dishwasher until we don’t have it!

I am thankful…for all the vegetables we grow in the garden and can eat fresh!

I am wearing…my green dress with daisies and dragonflies all over it….meaning the print 🙂 *socks*(!) and one of my Edwardian aprons.

I am reading…."Salad and Diet Suggestions" by N.W. Walker. At least I think that is who it’s by.  It is very interesting and has lots of good salad ideas 🙂  And, my Bible of course!

I am creating…well, I should be creating more clothes for me. But I barely started some tatted lace that I still owe to Leah…since June

From the kitchen…we are about to peel and slice apples for the freezer, and sausage is thawing for Fried Apples, Biscuits and Sausage Gravy for supper.

One of my favorite things…money-saving and healthy supper recipes for large families (and vegetables that aren’t starches) !  And, getting up early. It is so quite and that is usually when I work on some school.

For education this week…I am mainly doing an herb course right now, but along with that is the normal: math, science, history, etc. etc. etc. 🙂

A keeper at home skill I am learning/using….one that I am using is canning and freezing food–like apples which we are doing now.

A Spiritual lesson I am learning…patience

Scripture I am memorizing…nothing at the moment…mostly reviewing

I am praying for…missionaries

For the rest of the week…painting (see picture below), freezing apples, making applesauce, making apple dumplings, school, clean the attic (you have no idea what our attic looks like! There is not one inch of floor space!), give and take cello lessons, clean a lady’s apartment that I started doing in August, Mommy comes home!!!!, and grocery shopping. I know there is more, but I’ll spare you from that

A picture I’d like to share…

A sneak-peek of Cassia’s and my project. We hope to make a post of it when it is done.  This is our bedroom by the way!

And a sunrise that I captured about week ago….

I so enjoy my visits to your blog! It is chilly here too – we spent the last two days with rain. The colours are changing on the leaves of the trees – we even went to take some family photos yesterday in the mountains. Hope you are enjoying a lovely day. I'd love to have you visit my blog: http://emsbingy.blogspot.com

    Have a glorious day today!

I must say, I'm a little jealous about your 46 degree

weather… it's only down to the 60s here.

I'm really looking forward to winter.

By the way, I looove the new header.

I hope you enjoy your week.
