Quote of the Week

Unbelief is safe because it takes no risks and almost always gets what it expects.

[Faith] grabs hold of an invisible reality and won’t let go.

I may not always feel that I have great faith.  But I can always obey, laying my hands on someone and praying.  It is a mistake for me to ever examine my faith.  I seldom find it.  It’s better for me to obey quickly.  After it’s over I can look back and see that my obedience came from faith.

Continuing in the theme of unusual ‘instruments’, here’s a video Anna took when we went to the Majesty MusiCollege this year.  Matthew Whitcomb almost always does this ‘toast’ song which he plays with his instrument, the toaster 😀

Cute Quotes

Last weekend while at our church camping trip, our friends’ four-year-old little brother James came up to me and showed Jessica the little tag on his jeans pocket and asked her what it said.  It said, ‘Route 66’, but Jessica teased him and told him it said, “James is silly.”

James smiled and said, “It says I’m silly?” and seemed pretty pleased about it.  Then Jessica told him that it really said ‘Route 66’.

James was confused, “What?”

“Route 66, it’s a road.”

“No, it does not say that!”  He much preferred that it would say he was silly 😀

Graham asked Leah, “How much do you cost?’  Then after thinking about it bit he said, ‘probably all my money’.  Leah said it might even be more than all of his money.  He replied, ‘Maybe $60.00,’  and then, ‘that would be more than you.’  Leah however was sure she was worth more than sixty dollars 😀 (and we agree 😉 )

Isaiah coughed after trying a pumpkin spice latte that Charissa had made (which was strong on the coffee).  He said, “I know why it’s called coffee, because you cough, and so ‘cough-ee’.”  😀

So glad it encouraged you, too, Adry! We found these when we read Bill Johnson’s book, “When Heaven Invades Earth”. It is full of testimonies of God’s goodness and how our faith works 😀

I definitely want to try your chicken lasagna recipe 🙂 Except I’ll probably leave out the ham and just add more chicken. Sounds yummy.
