Yes, we’ve featured this book before, but we’ve recently picked this book back up and were reminded just how good it was 😉   Not only do the Botkin sisters have a fun sense of humor (they had us laughing several times), they help girls put guys into proper perspective and encourage and show us how to treat them as our brothers in Christ.

Cute Quotes

One day Bekah and Charissa were talking about a friend’s half bathroom that is very tiny, and about how this person liked it and this person didn’t. Charissa told Bekah she thought they didn’t like it because they felt ‘flabbergasted’ in it [she meant claustrophobic].  😀

Another night some of us girls were discussing a problem we had and Noah was standing there listening to us, and then he said, “Well you don’t need to worry about it!” when Susannah was going on about her ‘woes’ 😀

Cassia said, “Listen!  From the mouth of a man!”  whereupon Leah asked Noah if he was a man (expecting him to say no, he was a boy).  Without any hesitation Noah replied, “Uh, YEAH!” in a ‘can’t you see the obvious?!’ tone of voice 😀   When we all burst out laughing he said that, well,  he was a boy.

One day Graham, a little boy we babysit, was helping Bekah with supper preparation and they were cutting up broccoli.  Graham (who is 3 years old) said, “This is awesome, huh?!”   Usually we give him the kids safety knife, but this time we gave him a serrated knife to use.  As he was cutting the broccoli he noticed the difference and exclaimed, “I’m cutting it for real!  Not for fake!”
