Quote of the Week

” Whene’er a task is set for you

don’t idly sit and view it,

nor be content to wish it done;

begin at once and  do it.”

 What we’re looking forward to most this coming fair week {okay, almost!} 😀

Last year we ate 104 milkshakes…how many do you think we will we do this year?!  We’ve seen some of the people who work at the Lion’s Club ice cream stand and they’re asking us already if we are going to beat last year’s record 😀  We’re not so sure we can do it, but we’ll see!

 We love this blog!  It is such an encouragment to see others who are also striving to make sure their brothers and sisters are their best friends 😀  We especially enjoyed the Picnics  post.

Cute Quotes

The other day, Leah, Isaiah, Noah and Jessica were getting ready to go swimming.  Noah (who doesn’t know how to swim) came to Jessica and said, “Jessica, you should stand in one part of the pool, and I swim to you with my life jacket  off and we’ll see if I drown or not, okay?!”

He meant, “…and we’ll see if I sink or not…” but instead he said “drown”.

Jessica told him she didn’t think that was a good idea 😀

Noah found a picture of a combine that Bekah had drawn for him, and decided to try to copy it.  After drawing for a little bit, he said, “Leah! I sure am doing a good job!”

Several years ago, when Bekah was probably only about 4 or 5, she brought a hymnbook to Jessica and asked her to read it to her.  She insisted that she start at the beginning adn read all the way to the end (only she got tired of it after just a few songs!).  While Jessica was reading one, Bekah was listening to the words and asked, “How do we lift up our hearts?” 😀

“Mommy, will you change my gaw?”

(helpful sister) “It’s not gaw, it’s gauze.”

“No, it’s gaw because it’s only one!”

      Thank you! It’s a “Fugifilm FinePix S2550HD”. We used to have a Kodak Easyshare Z612, but it died, and we were able to get the Fujifilm for pretty much the same price, and more for our money 😀 I love it!
