Ever wonder what our American expressions would sound like when translated?!

The Recipe Box

Egg and Sausage Breakfast Casserole

4 slices bread (or 4-6 biscuits…they make it a little more light and fluffy)

 6 eggs

 2 cups milk

 1 tsp. salt

 a few dashes pepper

 2 cups shredded chedder cheese

12 sausage links, cut into small slices (pre-cooked)

Cut the bread into cubes, and put into a greased 9″x13″ pan. Sprinkle the cheese and sausage over the bread. Whisk together the eggs, milk, salt and pepper, then pour over the other ingredients. Bake at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes.

Apple Streusel Muffins

 2 cups all-purpose flour

 1 cup sugar

 1 Tbsp. baking powder

 1 1/4 tsp. cinnamon

 1/2 tsp. salt

 1/2 tsp. baking soda

 2 eggs

1 cup sour cream (we use heavy whipping cream instead)

1/4 cup oil or melted butter

 1 cup diced apples

 Streusel Topping

 1/4 cup brown sugar

 3 Tbsp. all-purpose flour

 1/4 tsp. cinnamon

 2 Tbsp. melted butter

In a large bowl, stir together flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, salt and baking soda; set aside. In a small bowl, beat eggs, sour cream, and oil. Add to the dry ingredients and stir just until moistened. Stir in apples. Fill well greased muffin pans two-thirds full. Combine topping ingredients; sprinkle on top of muffins. Bake at 400 degrees for 20-25 minutes. Makes 18 muffins.

🙂 you always post something neat and fun. I'll be making pretzels tomorrow, (well later today! LOL) but a little differently than you all do. I'll be making what is called Jerusalem pretzels. 🙂 I did a little history research on pretzels, and well, find this way is best for me. 🙂

    love and hugs~
