How does the title go together?!  Well the answer is that it doesn’t really, except it all happened in one day…for the most part 😀

Today, Susannah and Cassia came back from their orchestra camp that they’ve been at since Monday morning-YAY!  Our family seemed so small without them!  And we had so many leftovers 😀  Leah and I did notice, though, that when we cook, we make less dishes than they do 😀  Cassia teased us and said it was because they make better meals!  I doubt it…I think we ate just as good as usual 😀

Now for the cards.  First of all, I love the Etsy shop called Masterpiece DesignsShe sells the prettiest graphics for a reasonable price, and then you can print them out as much as you like!  Leah and I recently ordered these vintage garden tags through her, and I love, love, love them 😀  Here is a picture of a couple of cards I’ve made with them:

Recently, our good friend Miss Marna gave us some beautiful trivets for us girls to share.  I think they are so pretty, I could never ever put a hot pan on them 😀  I was playing around with our scanner the other day and scanned the pictures into the computer, and now I can make as many cards as I want!  I had just recently been looking for some old-fashioned flavored cards, and these pictures are perfect!

Here are a couple of cards I made with the pictures 🙂

I also newly discovered a tool on Picnik (thank you Kate!) where you can make only  a part of your picture colored, and the rest black and white 😀

While making cards tonight, I found the cover of a “to do” list that I had kept because it was so pretty.  I first thought that I should put it into my scrapbook journal.  But then I decided to scan it in first 😀

-wake up

-eat breakfast

-milk goats

-decorate cakes

-eat lunch

-practice with the girls and Mommy

-make cards for graduation tomorrow

-eat supper

-do dishes

-go to bed

Okay, so that’s kind of a silly list, but you can’t have a “to do” list without anything to do on it, right?! 😀

And speaking of graduation cakes…here are some pictures of the ones I worked on today 🙂

And now, I think it is time to do the last thing on my “to do” list…go to bed.

Now I can say with Toad, “Now my day is all crossed out.” 😀

Beautiful cards! I loved your idea for a scrapbook journal a couple of months ago and ended up making one too. Something I did a little differently was that I had recently found a bunch of old cards I had received – birthday, thank you, notes, etc. There was really no reason to keep them all, but many of them had pretty pictures like the ones on your homemade cards. I ended up cutting apart many of the cards and adding some of those front pictures to my scrapbook journal -just like with the magazine pictures. I have also recycled some of them by adding trim or mounting them on cardstock to make my own cards (which I think are so much more fun and personal then buying the often overpriced ones from the store)!

That is such a good idea to use cards like that! So much better than being in a box somewhere where no one sees them 🙂

I love how you customized that picture. And yes, I love all those old fashioned pictures. You do know how to get crafty.

So, Jessica, with all those cards you’ve been making, does that mean you’ll be sending “someone” one soon???? (Hint, hint!!!!) I greatly miss your emails/letters.

Hi Kelley! That is a GREAT idea 😀 I do believe that I will use one of those cards and write you a note! I forget if I told you this yet or not, but I absolutely loved the one you sent me! Though I have been silent to you for a while, I have been thinking a lot about you 😀 Love you and miss you!

      {{HUGS to you, too!}}

Beautiful Pictures! I am the youngest of 7 sisters myself, no brothers. Of course we’re all grown now. I’ve really enjoyed looking over your blog.

Those pictures are beautiful! I also love finding antique artwork to decorate with. Using those graphics to make cards was a great idea! So easy!
