Yesterday morning I decided to do a bit of baking, and with inspiration from Breezy, I made some pretzels from Denise Fidler’s book Wildflour. I’ve never made pretzels before, so this was a new, and neat, experience~I greatly enjoyed it!

My first batch got a little extra brown (they’re on the bottom, under all the other pretzels!), but the others turned out nicely.

I don’t know what I was expecting, but I wasn’t expecting them to taste so pretzel like! They taste just like pretzels, but much fluffier~no crunch!

I will definitely make these again! They were fun to make and yummy to eat. A certain sister of mine says I should try some with cinnamon sugar on top in place of the salt…are we sugar crazy or what?!

No, I'm…I mean we're…not sugar crazy! Even the people at the fair with the big pretzels have cinnamon sugar to put on them : D

They were delicious…even without the sugar!

Those pretzels look so tasty! They make me hungry just looking at them! Have you ever made then with cinnamon and sugar on them? That kind is good! Who took the pictures? I play around with my camera but I never get it focused that great! Gotta go.

I just read it more carefully and saw your sister suggested cinnamon and sugar. I do encourage you to do that! (-:

I really don't mind people being sugar crazy. I think it's perfectly fine. (You'd understand if you saw my candy stash…) Gotta go now!

I saw Breezy's post about them a few days ago and thought they looked so good, and then I come to your blog today, and YOU made them =)

and actually, if you go to 'Annie's Pretzels' @ the mall (well for city slickers like us you know) they dip their pretzels in cinnamon sugar, so that 'crazy sister' isn't that crazy…just HAD to tease you!
