Today I set up a tea party for my sisters and Mommy. It was a LOT of fun, and I hope to do it again sometime soon =)
Here is what we ate:
Cucumber sandwiches, tea, cantalope and cookies.
All my wonderful guests
The table,
The EVER so good GAPS legal cookies =) (we’ll be explaining what ‘GAPS legal’ means in future posts…we’re on a ‘diet’ :D)
The delicious food!
GAPS-Legal Peanut Butter Craisin Cookies:
Preheat your oven to 350°F.
In a mixing bowl, combine:
•1 C. nut butter
•4 eggs separated
•6 Tbsp butter or coconut oil
•1/4 C. honey
•3 heaping tablespoons unsweetened dried shredded coconu
•2 tsp lemon juice
•dark chocolate chips, as many as you feel like, or craisins ( we did craisins ’cause we can’t have chocolate)
In food processor, mix all ingredients exept for egg whites and craisins. Fold craisins in batter. Beat egg whites till soft peek, and fold in to batter.
Drop heaping teaspoonsful of dough on to a parchment-lined cookie sheet and bake 10-12 minutes. Cool and enjoy!
This made about 26 cookies.

How fun and interesting! I just LOVE grown up tea parties, you know, not the kind where you give a cookie to your dolly that is missing one ear, and another to little Patty, whose eye was poked out sometime or another, and you say “No more cookies Charlotte, and will you have some tea, Elisabeth?” It’s so much more fun with REAL talking people isn’t it? I want to do this with my sisters and friend sometime soon!
Vanessa
By the way, you all look so lovely, refined and old fashioned~
How blessed you are to be able to have cookies!! 😆
Just kidding.
I love the hats 🙂
My daughter just loves it so much when we have tea parties together.

I love this!! I wish I could do that! I love those kind of tea parties, too!!! Vanessa, you are SOOO funny!! 😆 But I totally agree with you on that, Spinster!! 😛
We used to do tea parties once a week as a part of home school routine. You have inspired me to go back to doing it! Beautiful setting!
Where do you get your craisins? (or do you make them?) I am also on GAPS but haven’t found a source for craisins that wouldn’t be cheating. They all have sugar as part of the ingredient list… (some more than that!)
Hi JP 🙂 You’re right…most craisins are sweetened with sugar 😛 We get ours from our local health food store.
