Summer has flown by and we have SO many things we want to catch up on and show you on the blog 😀 Blog posts are coming…some sooner than others, and not all in order, but here’s a summary.
Early in June several of us took a Discovery Flight with Warsaw Flying Club 😀 We got a flying lesson and learned how to take off, fly and land the airplane. That was AMAZING! 😀
Later in June we had friends from Wisconsin come visit us for a weekend and we had a photo scavenger hunt (which is why the funny picture with the clock). More on this tomorrow 😀
The last week of June was 4-H judging, so the four 4-Hers in the family were busily putting together projects last minute (because that is the 4-H way!). Noah was in ‘big 4-H’ this year 😀
The second week of July was the 4-H fair. We had a really fun time (and came home exhausted that week!)
Late in July, Leah, Anna and I went to the Majesty MusiCollege in Indianapolis with a group from church. We may or may not do a blog post on this one because we were having so much fun that we forgot to take very many pictures 😀 We had a super time singing with the 200+ person choir. One time there were four pianos, an organ, a small orchestra, and the choir singing, and the floor was shaking from all of the wonderful music. I think we were all on a ‘high’ afterwards from all of that wonderful music 😀
One day after Leah, Anna and I left for Indy, Susannah and Cassia took a bus trip out to Washington D.C. and had a blast! They are planning on a nice big post about this one…they ‘only’ took 500 pictures! 😀
One day after Susannah and Cassia left, Daddy, the boys, and our uncle left for the air show in Oshkosh 😀 We probably won’t do a post on this one either (since we weren’t there), but you can tell that the boys had lots of fun! They came home telling us about all kinds of airplanes and adventures 😀
One day after we all came home from Indianapolis, Washington D.C. and Oshkosh, Mommy left for Florida for her T-Tapp retreat 😀 We are jealous that she is going without us!
Last weekend, we went to the annual PRA (Popular Rotorcraft Association) which is at the Mentone airport. We only live a few miles from here and most of us girls have never come to it! We had an amazing time seeing the gyro planes, watching the fireworks (put on by a group that gets together and several people put on their own show and even make their own fireworks!), and Daddy, Susannah and I each got a flying lesson on one of these! A blog post on this is coming, too 😉
While Mommy was away, the washing machine decided to malfunction. It didn’t know when to stop filling up with water and kept flowing over! Daddy figured out the problem and fixed it, and Anna and I decided it was time to take out the disgusting carpet, sooo….we’ll tell you more about that later!
When Anna and I tore out the carpet in the laundry room, it gave Cassia and Anna the idea of repainting the bathroom. Mommy wanted it to be purple awhile ago, but several of us thought it should be blue, to match the flooring. So we painted it blue, but it was the wrong color of blue and didn’t match the flooring very well at all. As a surprise, the girls repainted the bathroom while Mommy was gone, to surprise her 😀 We hope this is a good surprise (and seeing how the painting is shaping up, I think it will be!)
Daddy also pulled up the toilet to fix the seal…and it sure makes painting around that area a lot easier 😛 😀
And this picture is just for fun…Noah and Isaiah with Boden and Graham (two of the four kiddos we babysit) playing blocks together. Aren’t they the cutest little guys?! 😀
And so there is our ‘Summer Summary’ 😀
Be on the lookout…posts are coming!

Looks like you had a very fun summer. Glad that you were having a good time.
Looks like you had so much fun this summer! Flying lessons for planes AND gyrocoptors – that’s pretty neat! Any of you want to pursue flying any further? By the looks of sheer delight on the boys’ faces, they had a blast – maybe they’ll end up as pilots! From your Mum’s facebook page, it looks like she is having a BLAST at the T-Tapp conference. You really went all over the place these last few weeks, hey! That’s so special for you all. I’m looking forward to more posts!
xx

Yes indeed! I really, really want to get my pilot’s license, so I’m saving money and am going to apply for a scholarship this fall through Women in Aviation 😀 We went to yet another air show this past weekend and all of us are all fired up and want to fly, hehe! Noah and Isaiah say they want to be pilots ‘when they grow up’, and one of them thought they’d be a crop duster pilot, because they like farming 😉

That looks like a pretty awesome summer! So glad you are posting more again!
