It was Sunday morning, I was practicing away,

We weren’t going to our church,

but playing for another church today.

All of the sudden I hear a bad noise: NOOOOOO I say!

“Shhh, Daddy’s resting” I hear,

I continue to groan, ’cause this is severe!

Oh I’m toast!

or maybe roast

I’ve done this once,

I’ve done it twice,

and now this,

makes it thrice!

I know this sound, I’ve heard it before!

No doubt! For shore,

I’ve broken my third piano string!

It will no more ring!

I check all eighty eight keys

which one has died,

I want to see…

I’m confuserated, all the notes play!

Which one has died I say.

I discover this key has two strings,

only one has given away!

Oh goody I sigh,

we don’t have to say goodbye,

I’d like to keep you dear F, why,

it would be terrible to play without this little guy!

You may be just one of eighty eight,

but “your important”, I state

don’t retire,

your gonna get a new wire!

I’ve broken violin strings before (I won’t mention that it wasn’t my violin), but never a piano string. 😀 Congratulations………I think………..
