We’ve been kinda quiet on here lately…for two reasons! One is that we had some company from Connecticut again for one and a half wonderful weeks, and another reason is that we have Christmas projects coming out of our ears 😀 I am looking forward to a week of sewing. Shopping and planning is done!
Two years ago this month is when we first met Scott and Kelley. And now they have Andrew and another little brother or sister on the way 😀 Andrew has grown a lot since we last saw him in October…the poor boy was never lacking for attention 😀 Scott had a birthday while they were here, so the younger girls made him chocolate chip cookies for him to find in his car that morning before he went off to a signing, then that night we had brownies and ice cream to celebrate 😀
Andrew made his Daddy a birthday card…
He was pretty proud of himself 😀
Isn’t he just adorable?!
Lots of times this is where we were…sewing and making things for orders or for Christmas 😀
The younger set was always very interested in Scott’s iPad…
Andrew’s expressions were very cute…he’d watch the screen, then look up at the girls and smile and giggle.
{Can you tell how much we like this little guy?!}
One day he was ‘helping’ the boys with the lunch dishes 😀
Anna kept him entertained with Jostie Flicks…
We played Parcheesi quite a lot…I finally learned how this time. This game was Mommy’s when she was a little girl, but we never had an interest in it until Kelley taught Anna, Bekah and Charissa how to play two years ago. This year Noah and Isaiah asked if I could play ‘Por-cheesy’ with them, and found endless delight in sending me ‘home’ 😀
One night we played a different version of Monopoly… we all got $1,000 extra, then every time one of us passed ‘Go’ we all got a ‘Stimulus Package’ of another thousand dollars. After the $500’s ran out, we quit getting the stimulus packages 😀
We were very sad to see them go on Tuesday morning 🙁 The rest of the day we felt ‘disoriented’ and didn’t know what to do without them! We are all looking forward to them paying us a possible visit in March…which means we will get to meet the baby. We all enjoyed getting to feel the baby kick and move and can’t wait to meet the baby on the outside 😀
For several years, Daddy and Mommy have bought a new lighted house to add to our collection that we like to set up over our kitchen cabinets…
…but this year it was Susannah who added to the collection 😀 Leah, Susannah, Cassia and I had recently taken a shopping trip to Joanns (something we do almost at least twice a month) and she told us we weren’t allowed to look in the back of the van 😀 After supper when we got home, she called everyone into the kitchen and showed us the newest member of our ‘house’ family…a very fitting addition!
It is always a happy day when you wake up and see this outside your window! Sadly, it all melted off today, but we’ve heard rumors that it’s supposed to snow on Christmas day {we hope so!}
And now for the music! We posted this over at Farmgirl Treasures awhile ago, but we thought we’d post it again over here 🙂
The first one is a fun duet of ‘Joy to the World’, arranged by Susannah and Cassia. The second one

Silent Night, arranged and played by Susannah and Cassia…they like to mix this one and Joy to the World together. First they play ‘Silent Night’ and get you all relaxed, then they scare you out of your wits and jump right into Joy to the World 😀

Still, Still, Still arranged by Daniel Burton. I’d never heard of this Christmas song before until my harp teacher showed it to me…it has now become one of my favorites 😀

Hopefully we’ll be popping in over the week, but we shall see…I have a feeling there’s going to be a lot of Christmas-present-making going on!
p.s. if you haven’t already, you should pop over to Farmgirl Treasures and see all the fun Christmasy book reviews, crafts and videos 😀

Ah yes! The iPad! My dad got one and it never fails to draw a crowd!!!
My three year old brother is probably better at working it that my dad is! 🙂
I like your “Joy To The World” arrangement. Sounds like a lot of fun to play!!!
I love the Joanne’s peice! I think we need one for our village 😀
Love the Jo-Ann’s ‘house’ =) We were just there today!
