I graduated high school in June, and celebrated in August. Just because summer is super busy for us!
Being graduated is nice, but then also kind of scary because hey, it’s time to grow up!! ; ) I’ve said a lot of times that adult ‘hood’ should come with an instruction manual. But really, it’s just another learning curve, and no instruction manual makes it exciting…right?!
The amazing Lauren Carns did my senior pictures at St. Mary’s college which is about an hour from us. (No that’s not where I’m planning on going to college.) In fact, at the moment, I’m not planning on going at all. The college was such a beautiful place with a pond and soft weeping willows (my favorite tree!)
My friend from CT, Allison, and I had been talking, and I mentioned that she should come out for my open house! She said she had to work, and I completely bought it, thinking that yeah, sometimes it hard to get off of work!
And so I didn’t think anything of it. Then the Wednesday before my open house, I came home from work and went into my mom’s room to say hey and chat, and there was Allison! She had flown out to surprise me, and lets just say, I screamed 😉
The day of my open house, it rained most of the day, but I’m super thankful it did let up a least twice and the sun came out : )
I loved all the little pictures hanging in the window! Either pictures I took, or pictures from younger years/with friends.
Jessica was so kind as to make the sheet cake, and Charissa was super happy to make all the cupcakes!
We didn’t really get any pictures with everyone there. We seem to forget that part of parties 😉 But these couple that we DID get, I love!
With a friend’s littlest.
And with these special people I get to see every week.
