I don’t know about you, but when someone wakes me up in the middle of the night and tries to talk to me, I sometimes usually speak nonsense 😀 Once when we were quite a bit younger, Cassia came into my room because she was scared and couldn’t sleep. So in my half awake state I said, “You know what helps me?”
She said, “No.”
“I play my scales and arpeggios”
Then she knew I was not really awake and said, “Huh?!” 😀
The other night Isaiah woke up at 3:30 and came and stood by my bed. I’m not sure what he wanted, and I don’t think he knew what he wanted either. I think I was speaking more nonsense because he said, “What?” When I finally got my words straight I told him to lay back down on his pillow, but he was laying sideways, upside down, and every way but where he was supposed to lay down 😀 I finally patted his pillow and said, “Right here Isaiah, here’s your pillow.”
He responded, “Okay but, what can I do?”
As I went to sleep I thought that’s what we do…Jesus says, “Rest on Me” and we say, “Okay, but what can I do??!”  And He, being ever patient with us says, “Do? Just rest. Rest on Me.” 🙂
Last night Isaiah woke up again, only this time he told me he needed a container. I said “Why?” (but he thought I said ‘what’)
“A container”
“Why?”
“A container”
“Why do you need a container?”
He must not have needed a container so bad, because he laid back down and fell asleep 😀 We picked 32 pounds of strawberries out of our patch last night, right before a bad storm hit (we had a tornado warning at one point). So maybe he was dreaming about picking strawberries 😀

Oh that’s cute 🙂 Heidi and I share a room (she wasn’t on the pinafore video though lol) and used to, if I didn’t ask her hard questions, she’d actually have conversations with me in her sleep 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂
That was a neat post. 🙂 I sleepwalk and talk in my sleep and stuff, so I know what that’s like. 🙂
