The Big Potato Meets the Big Egg

 

It has been much too long since we’ve updated all of you wonderful blog readers 😀  It is too bad that there is not some kind of device that can put your thoughts straight onto a blog post, because there are often times when I am writing one in my head, but don’t have time to sit down and put it down on paper…okay, on screen 😉

This past Thursday the big famous Idaho-potato-on-a-truck came and visited our very own little town, and met our famous Big Egg (because we are the ‘Egg Basket of the Midwest’) 😀  Somebody said we just needed a Big Bacon to complete it 😀

 

We didn’t know it was supposed to be there until early Thursday morning when Cassia and I went to get the kids that we babysit now (we need to update you on that, too, with lots of adorable pictures of all the fun times we’ve had with four extra kids lately!).  Their dad told us about it, so we decided we had to go see.

Swarms of school kids were coming to see the Idaho Potato, too, including Benton’s class (the oldest of the kids we babysit), so we got to see him and get a picture with him 😀

I think all of Mentone came out to see the potato 😀   And no, that is not the whole town population below, it’s slightly bigger than that 😉

 And of course, we had to get a picture of us with the Big Egg, with the Big Potato 😀
