Daddy uses trailers and wagons quite often and the boys absolutely love to do whatever Daddy does 😀  He’s given the boys old tools for them to use to ‘build’ things and they do quite well.  Cassia says Isaiah can drive a nail better than she can 😀  First of all, they built these bird houses condominiums.  😀  Noah did everything but cut the hole for the entry, and Isaiah needed slightly more help, but it’s very cute!
Noah’s latest (finished) project is this trailer. Â Daddy helped with the cutting and screwing/nailing, but Noah had the idea, measured how long he wanted the boards to be, and showed Daddy where to cut.
Daddy had some old tires that came with a bunch of other stuff in an auction he went to, and they were perfect for Noah’s trailer 🙂  It even has a license plate.  It amazes us how much attention they pay to details like that (like when we were in Florida and Isaiah told me how much he liked the fireplace, and especially ‘how it had trim around it.’  When I was 6 years old, I did not pay attention to trim!)
 They hooked it up to the mower and had a lot of fun, as you can tell!
When they don’t have an older sister available to pull them with the mower, they hook it to the garden wagon and have a ‘train’ of sorts and haul it around the yard that way.
Their next project was a helicopter they could sit in.  They were trying to figure out how they could use a crank to make the blades go around.  So if you see a small wooden helicopter flying over your house, it’s Noah and Isaiah 😉
I think the helicopter idea kind of fizzled out when the farmer who owns the field behind us started to harvest his corn. Â Now the boys wanted to make a combine tractor, one that mowed grass. Â Â Isaiah told me, “And we might have Daddy sharpen some blades for us!” Â Ummmm…for some reason I don’t think Daddy will go for that one!

I am 18 and I could not build a trailer like that. That trailer is in better shape than the one we used to haul wood in. Those boys sure are creative! And hard working too to get that built!
They sure are! Daddy helped him a lot with the trailer, but Noah had it all planned out how he wanted it to be and showed Daddy on the tape measure how long he wanted the boards to be cut. He can’t read a tape measure yet, but he knew which ‘mark’ he wanted 😀
It looks so good! I wish Dad would let me try something like that!
They are very clever! 🙂 My dad and I tend to make animal hutches and things like that….he also has a wood lathe which is fun to use!

Oooo, the wood lathe sounds fun 🙂 Daddy has one, too, but I’ve never used it. He bought a scroll saw for us girls and we’ve played with that a little 🙂 -Jessica
