Today is Cassia’s graduation open house. ย The food is ready, the house is clean…now we’re just waiting for company to arrive ๐Ÿ˜€ ย We’ll probably be posting more pictures later, but I wanted to show you all the cakes real quick.

ย The first cake is chocolate with chocolate icing. ย The quote on there is Cassia’s ‘class motto’. ย Her class was so kind as to let her pick it ๐Ÿ˜€ ย ๐Ÿ˜‰ ย Of course, it helps she was the only one in her class.

This cake was her ‘interests’ cake ๐Ÿ™‚ ย Llamas, science, helicopters, all things patriotic, and the emergency medical services.

ย This cake was a lot of fun to do ๐Ÿ˜€ ย Cassia found this picture on Pinterest and asked if I could make if for her. ย  When I was putting on the piano keys I kept saying, “This is so cool!” ๐Ÿ˜€ ย Fondant is so much fun to play with.

The top of the cake, without the rose…

I’m off to ‘party’ now… ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜€

That’s right Madison! We girls find every reason that we possibly can to have a party, lol! ๐Ÿ˜€ And thank you! Those lacy designs are actually quite easy…you just fill your bag with icing with a small round tip and squeeze away!!! It’s so much fun and one of my favorite techniques ๐Ÿ˜€ โ™ฅJessica

Thank you Julianne! No, the rose was real…I’m not that good with fondant ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜€ We happened to have ONE red rose in our flower garden, and it went so well with the piano cake ๐Ÿ˜€ -Jessica

I am amazed by these!!!! I want to bite into the chocolate one.
I make cushions but would have no patience or talent for cake decorating. WOW!

Jessica is working on some custom designed stationery for me. I found her on Etsy!
I was doing a search for a garage sale with the same name as her shop “SEVEN SISTERS”.
They have the sale every year….never found “IT” but glad I found Jessica.

    GREAT JOB!

Beautiful cakes—each one is quite lovely! I don’t know how you got those little “science papers” on the 2nd cake—are those edible?

Congratulations on your graduation, Cassia! I hope that God will bless you as you embark on this new stage in your life!

Cassia wanted something to do with science/anatomy on her cake, so I jokingly said, ‘Do you want me to put a skeleton on there???’ We both decided against that because I’m not sure I could have made a convincing skeleton and we also thought that was weird ๐Ÿ˜€ So she printed off some pictures she found online and laminated them, so they’re not edible, but it works! ๐Ÿ˜€ -Jessica

Ha ha! Yes, I’m sure that a skeleton would have been weird on a cake. ๐Ÿ˜€ The little anatomy papers came out looking super cute. I love the idea!
