Quote of the Week
Nobody ever failed to do the will of God because he was too weak, too poor, too old, too ignorant or didn’t have time. God has promised that He will give you the strength, the knowledge and the time to do whatever He wants you to do.

The Recipe Box
Mocha Mud Pie
an oh-so-yummy summer treat
2 quarts mocha mudslide ice cream (we use the Great Value brand)
1 pkg. oreo cookies
chocolate syrup
Crush the oreo cookies and layer half of them in the bottom of a springform pan. Spread one quart of ice cream over the oreo cookies, and drizzle syrup over the ice cream. Repeat layers and freeze. Serves 12 large and very rich pieces, or 22 smaller pieces 😉 Susannah figured out this recipe after Daddy and Mommy had a Mocha Mud Pie at a restaurant…they say Susannah’s version is better 😉

Cute Quotes
Isaiah came in from riding his bike, and as he headed toward the freezer he said, “I need to get a ice pack ’cause my hair’s so hot.”
Charissa was doing her copy work for school and all of the sudden gasped in horror and started vigorously erasing a word and looked up at Susannah, wide-eyed, and said, “I just spelled ‘God’ with a little ‘g’!”
On the way home from church one day, as we turned onto a road we always take, Isaiah was looking out the window and said, “This doesn’t sound familiar.”
One day while Susannah was teaching math…
Susannah: “Now you need to subract 74.86 from 2, 752.83.”
Charissa: “WHAT? I don’t like subtraction!”
Susannah: “It’s simple…see? All you do is since you can’t subtract 6 from 3 you take 1 from 8, making it a 7, add the 1 to the 3 and that makes it 13 and now you subtract 6 from 13. And then you subtract 8 from 7…which you can’t do…so you…”
Charissa: “Ohhhh! Wait! Slow down!” and then she quickly wrote on the answer line:
631
Charissa: “There. Like that?”
She apparently thought that Susannah was giving her the answer with all of those numbers she was rattling off.

Sheesh, the balcony pool is worse then the eiffel tower! LOL! It looked like it just *might* be fun on a hot summer day–I said might. =)
Charissa’s quote about spelling God’s name with a g is so cute, I can see her saying that!
Hehe! I’m with you, Abbie! It looks fun, but kind of scary…what if it suddenly broke off the side of the building??? 😆
-Jessica
Are you trying to get me more scared?!?!
