One dayย  I was reading about a newly discovered disorder called IAD. It stands for Internet Addiction Disorder (a.k.a. I-should-practice-more-self-control syndrome?!). I also have heard about phantom cellphone vibration syndrome, and the earbud cartilage deficiency sydnrome.

Recently my sisters have done some genealogy worksheets for 4H and one of the things you do is fill out a medical history sheet about your grandparents, and great-grandparents.

It struck me kind of funny that my grandparents may have suffered from athsma, cancer, having a few missing fingers from when a saw went the wrong way, and other things. But now their grandchildren are faced with new deficiencies and syndromes. I surely hope that when my grandchildren look up my medical history they don’t put down that I had IAD and phantom cellphone ringing syndrome. How silly would that be??? ๐Ÿ˜€

But then, having my fingers chopped off by a saw doesn’t sound so delightful either ๐Ÿ˜€

That is so funny – I just read about phantom cellphone vibration disorder in the comics section of my newspaper yesterday! It was in the comic strip “Rhymes with Orange” ………….. ah, here it is: http://www.arcamax.com/thefunnies/rhymeswithorange/s-1174965

I know, isn’t it ridiculous what they’re calling a “disorder” now?? We’re probably all walking around with four or five disorders that we don’t even know about!!
