Dear Purdue,
We do not feel very educated by your books. If you want us to give you intelligent answers, please ask intelligent questions. Do not ask questions that are already answered in your question.Example:
“Describe how you can tell what a food product contains by reading the labels.”
That’s kind of a silly question…just say, “Describe how you can tell what a food product contains.” and we can say ‘by reading the ingredient list, or the label’. Then we wouldn’t be beating our brains out trying to figure out how to answer you’re already answered question. π
I learn much more by actually making muffins…not by answering questions about something that has nothing to do with my muffins.
Sincerely,
a former 4Her-who-is-trying-to-help-her-siblings-through-the-same-silly-questions π
Also, please, please do not ask us ‘what we learned about ourselves’ while making our muffins.Β What are we supposed to say?Β We want to give you an intelligent and interesting answer, such as:
Β I learned that I could save the world from hunger, if I could only but bake a hundred-million muffins.
Β But that’s ridiculous.Β So we say.
Um…I learned that I really like blueberry muffins.
That is just so boring.
Even though I’m complaining about the bookwork…we love 4H πΒ This week is ‘judging week’, and it is quite rewarding and so much fun to see what kind of ribbon your work got, and to hear what the judge says about your projects.
I think 4-Hers everywhere understand what I mean π
Right?! Like why do people ask that?
Don’t know π Wish I did! π
What all do you do for 4H besides baking and llamas and singing and photos..well, anything else?!!!!!!!!
Between us girls in the past 15 years we’ve done (besides what you’ve mentioned): gift-wrapping, horseless horseman (you do a poster about horses π ), child development, goats, chickens, rabbits, sewing, drawing, needlework (knitting, crocheting, cross stitch), cake decorating, cat poster, collections, flowers, genealogy, garden, home environment, miscellaneous crafts, and scrapbooking. π We don’t ALL do that EVERY year though…thankfully! Lol! π
