The picture really doesn’t show how red we really were. But, from what I remember, you do have whiter skin than we do so you probably would get redder πŸ™‚

    Hello Leah~

I was over on Feeling Feminine’ and saw your post on the purple tote bag. It’s beautiful. I want to make one just like that one (with the stripes and lace) Can you please give me the mesurments for the stripes? Thanks a bunch πŸ™‚

Have a GREAT day!! We will be very busy today because we are going on a church camping trip tomorrow that will last all weekend!!! Yippie!!

Thank you! Each stripe was 14 1/2″ X 3 1/2″, then I used a 1/2″ seam allowance to sew them together.
      Have fun camping!

so you are including the seam allowance on the bottom as well? I guess when you sew it all together it will end up being 14″x28″ right? πŸ™‚ Thank you so much for the information!!

And which ever sister it was (probably Jessica or Susannah) you have a very good memory to remember if my skin was light or what! Yes, I do have fairly light skin, it’s not the type to tan…it gets red! but then it turns to a LIGHT shade of tan….usually the same color it was before. I wonder if that’s why they call us Caroliner’s “Red Necks” πŸ˜€ LOL

But I do NOT like this….whenever I run or do something that makes me sweaty, (or sometimes it’s when I get nervous) I ALWAYS (well, 9 out of 10 times…) turn RED in the face. And then my friends do the same thing, and they don’t have a problem! And then other people causally remark, ” Oh, so you got sunburned, eh?” And I say “No! I didn’t get sunburned.” and they say ” well you sure look like it.”

So I often have a stage fright running in the shade walking around the block sunburn. {{{sigh}}} πŸ˜›
