Snowladies of Liberty

The snow and cold is back and the nice spring days (40 degrees-ish) we had last week are over.  It warmed up a bit today so the snow packs really nice to make snowballs and throw at your sister to make snowmen…ahem…ladies 🙂  To make snowballs too of course (and throw at your sister when she comes into the barn).  😉

Bekah and Charissa made snowmen in our backyard…Bekah made hers The Statue of Liberty. Or, to make it more correct, The Snowlady of Liberty.

I think she got the idea from a snowman someone made right by the road we take to church, it had icicles sticking out of it’s head and we assumed they meant it to be The Statue of Liberty 🙂

Seeing the icicles stick out of the snowman’s head reminded me of a book I got when I was 3 for Christmas in 1994…If Everybody Did:

 

It starts out, “When there’s only one, that’s just somebody…But when there’s one…and one…and one…and more…that’s EVERYBODY.

Did you ever think of what would happen if EVERYBODY did things like…”

and goes on to say make tracks, spill the tacks, slam the door, stomp and roar, step on Daddy’s feet, keep changing your seat and on and on and on 😀  It is very funny as well as the illustrations! So the one that reminded me of the icicles was this one:
