Instead of just posting a ton of pictures like last year, or the year before, I decided to do it this way. Categorically. (I like organized things.) I’ll explain each present that is posted, especially since a few certain ones won’t make any sense…especially the funniest one. 🙂 I’ll put a few extra pictures and such at the end of the post. Including how long it took us to open presents since some of you were wanting to know 🙂
So we’ll start with…
The Scariest
A picture Isaiah drew for Cassia
The Most Matching
Made by Mommy (and Jessica and Susannah) for A, B, C, N and I
The Most Delicate
A doily Susannah crocheted for Mommy
The Cutest
Dollhouse people Leah made for Charissa
The Most Educational
An everybody gift from Daddy and Mommy
The Funniest
A joke gift to Susannah from Cassia (I really like camels (especially after meeting Gomer at the Creation Museum), so Cassia tore this out of a Gospel For Asia catalog to give to me 😀 )
The Most Musical
Another everybody gift
The Warmest
A hat and scarf Leah crocheted, and a shawl Mommy knitted for Bekah
The Biggest
From Daddy to Mommy for their bed. No, that is not their bed 😀
The Most Boy-ish
Trash trucks from Daddy and Mommy to the boys
The Most Memorable
A purse Jessica made Mommy using Grandma’s skirt and pants and Grandpa’s pants
The Smelliest
Or maybe not. 🙂 Cows Leah gave Noah and Isaiah
The Most Wordy
Books from everybody to everybody

Pies…for the main dish 🙂
The breakfast table…set the night before
From my Christmas diary:
8:00 am most of everybody was up (several people stayed up till 2-3 the “night” before!)
10:00 ate breakfast
10:40 done with breakfast and Advent reading
10:55 dishes done
11:00 opened stockings
11:15 started opening presents
2:40 finish opening presents except for the treasure hunt Mommy sent Daddy on 🙂
Total time to open presents: 3 hr. 25 minutes (last year’s time: 5 hr. 25 min.)
4:00/4:30 put food in the oven
5:30/6:00 ish (nobody can remember “the” time) ate “dinner”. Supper rather.
Sometime after feeding goats and washing dishes: played Mexican Train
Different ways we opened presents: (we always do it different ways…one at a time…to make it last 🙂 )
-by length of our dresses
-alphabetical order
-alphabetical order backwards
-age order
-age order backwards
-height order…backwards
-ages turned backwards and in order (example: Isaiah is 4, so he would be 40…Susannah would be last at 91)
-one is appointed and then that one picks the next, etc.
-by nicknames in alphabetical order
-middle names in alphabetical order
-middle names alphabetical order backwards

Thank you 🙂 My grandma taught me to crochet, but I kind of took off on my own with the doilies. I’m not sure about books to recommend. “Just” practice 🙂
