We gather together to ask the Lords blessing;
He chastens and hastens His will to make known;
The wicked oppressing now cease from distressing;
Sing praises to His Name; He forgets not His own.
{So many yummy desserts!}
…and yummy food!
Beside us to guide us, our God with us joining,
Ordaining, maintaining His kingdom divine;
So from the beginning the fight we were winning;
Thou, Lord, were at our side, all glory be Thine!

The boys…being boys!!
Aren’t they cute?!

Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands.
Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing.
Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
Enter into his gates with thanksgiving,
and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.
For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.

You know, even though we don’t celebrate thanksgiving, I would have really love to come to your house today, just because of the food. 🙂 😛
love you gals!
Looks like you all had a very nice Thanksgiving! Very lovely photo!
Looks WONDERFUL!
Happy Thanksgiving, girls!
Happy Thanksgiving girls!
You know, my brothers do the SAME thing! they do that and pump their legs, and say, “I’m running to China!” 🙂
LOL! That is hilarious!!! 😀
Jessica
oops! I left the wrong thing in the website box…so don’t click it (:
Happy Thanksgiving to you too (: I hope your day was wonderful!
see you soon,
kate
Happy Thanksgiving!
My brothers ALSO do that! Then they take off all the couch cushions and make huge forts out of them. (It’s loads of fun!) We wore out the cushions so much that we had to get new couches! I am glad that they decided to put the old couches in the basement though! (Even I like to play with them still! LOL! and I am 14!) =)
We are going to put up the Christmas tree today! It is snowing over here in MI!
Not much, but it is staying on the ground! (for now at least…) Any wintery weather over there?
God Bless,
Brianna.
P.S. I hope that this comment works…I sent you girls an e-mail. =)
Oh yes! We’ve made lots of things with our cushions, too 😀 When we older girls were little, we’d pretend the couches were our ‘cars’, and we’d set the round couch pillows on the side in the front and back for the ‘wheels’, and then another round pillow was our ‘steering wheel’…we went lots of places with our ‘children’ that way! The big couch was a van, and the little couch was a car, and I think Susannah usually got the chair for her little car, since she was the youngest at that time, and you know how the older sisters need the biggest, right?! 😀
The cushions were also our ‘horses’ and we’d turn them on their side and go bouncing around the house until Mommy saw us and told us to put them back 😀
Jessica
P.S. We haven’t gotten your email yet, but I’ll be looking for it 😀
Thanksgiving is my absolute FAVORITE holiday ever! And not because of the food, either! 😀 I’m sugar free and so I don’t get the dessert……no, not because of the food. Because of the Providential history and the Pilgrims!! It was joy in the midst of being reminded of suffering, pain and turmoil. It was not a feast that celebrated the absence of difficulty, but it was joy with gratitude for how God sustains you through the difficulty! (Paul Jehle, foremost Plymouth historian, Plymouth Rock Foundation) 😉
Happy thanksgiving, girls!
oh, and y’alls kitchen is ADORABLE! <3 too cute!
Hello Jessica!
Oh my! I totally forgot about “horses”! I used to do that too!
My sisters and I used to put both of the couches together then we
would fill them with anything and everything that was soft!
We pretended that it was our lake and we would “dive” and “swim” in it!
It was so much fun!
God Bless,
Brianna
P.S.
The e-mail was not to important, for some reason I could not comment
on your blog the other day so I sent you an e-mail about it. It works now
though, so don’t worry! 🙂 This is what I was trying to comment:
Hi Susannah!
Your welcome! Wow! Thats a lot of hats! Were they for Christmas gifts?
Mmm! Our house smells so good! My Mom and I have been making apple and pumpkin pies today. Have you made anything today? Well got to go check on
my mini pumpkin pies before they turn into Cassia’s croutons! =D Just kidding!
(I loved that story though!)
God Bless,
Brianna (11/24/10)
OH! Such a beautiful photo of the pine cone setting too!

It was so delightful to get a glimpse into your day! Thank you for sharing the pictures! My mouth is now watering! YUM! Glad you had a nice Thanksgiving!
It looks like you had a lovely Thanksgiving!!! I need to get pictures from our long weekend up on my blog!!!
Missing you all so much! Love and Hugs!
Which food is GF, Susannah, so I know which ones I can less guiltily drool over? 😀
The pumpkin crunch cake, pumpkin pie, potatoes, turkey-of course 🙂 -, cookies, green bean casserole, and apple salad. 🙂
It was a limited Thanksgiving this year…I didn’t stuff myself! 🙂
That’s enough for me! Minus that with sugar. 😉 Just about what we had! 😀
Seems like you had a lot of fun!
