At last!  We became brave enough to begin posting about our trip 😀  There is SO much to tell about, and we probably won’t be able to capture the half of it…but we promise that we’ll try!

 We left for our big trip on the 25th of September, and wonder of wonders, WE DIDN’T HAVE TO TURN AROUND because we had forgotten something!  It was amazing!  Whenever we go camping, we almost always have to turn around for something 😀  We left at 10:33 (can you tell we got very detailed in our journals?!).  By 4:00, we were in Ohio and were visiting the N. family, and having supper with them 😀  She had such a nice yummy meal prepared for us, along with gluten-free food for Susannah, right down to the gluten-free brownies and dairy-free ice cream, which was a wonderful treat for Susannah!  We hadn’t heard of or found any dairy free ice cream, so Susannah wrote down the name and we ended up getting some for her a couple different times during the trip.

The N. family…they were so much fun 🙂

{a pretty view from one of their windows}

Her lovely garden!

We drove all the way to Erie, Pennsylvania, and if you remember THIS POST, you will remember how we couldn’t find a hotel at first, because they were all filled up, and how we were taking pictures of the “Erie Times” newspaper 😀

{edit: we found the picture of the Erie Times and updated the post :D)

We finally found this “TraveLodge”.  The lobby looked very fancy, as you can see. The rooms were…clean…but kind of grungy, if you know what we mean!

We couldn’t resist taking a picture like this!

“I want to see!”

“I wanna see, too!”

This is a picture we took at one of the rest stops in Ohio.  We couldn’t believe how flat Ohio was!  We thought Indiana was pretty flat, but Ohio is definitely flatter…at least the part we drove through!

This post was originally titled “Niagara Falls”…but that will have to wait ’til next time!!!

    Yes, you are right, Ohio is even flatter than Indiana! I was talking with my sisters about it the other day (yes, I still relive our first visit to your house… 🙂 ). Ohio is very flat!

    Oh, and Jessica, I should hopefully have your letter in the mail by the weekend.

    I’m looking forward to seeing more of your trip! I remember the door-hole being a novelty for us years back – as was the pizza man! Yes, I was probably 12 yo before I ever ate home-delivered pizza!! We even took a photo of the guy!! LOL!

    I beg to differ on the Ohio comment.:-) I’m not sure where you traveled in Ohio, but next time head south a bit, and you will hit the most marvelous hills. The further south you go the more hilly it will become.

      Lol! Now that I think about it, we had some friends who used to live in Circleville, OH, and it was quite hilly down there 😀
