I don’t know if we have posted a recipe for waffles, but I thought I would post the recipe today!! (and a few pictures)
Homemade Belgium Waffles
2 cups flour
3/4 cups sugar
3-1/2 t. baking powder
2 eggs, separated
1 1/2 cups milk
1 cup butter, melted
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
Instructions:
1. in a large bowl, combine flour, sugar and baking powder.
2.in another bowl, beat egg whites until stiff peaks form.
3. in yet another bowl, lightly beat egg yolks and then add milk, butter and vanilla; mix well. Stir into dry ingredients until moistened. Fold egg whites in.
Cook in a waffle maker. Yields about 15 waffles
