Welcome!
to our garden
I’m going to take you on a little tour of everything we’re growing this year in our garden, and of it’s progress!
Corn!
Daddy staggered the planting of the corn, so we can have fresh corn for a longer period of time, rather than having a ton of corn all ready at the same time!
The tomato patch…
…and some little green tomatoes
Some flowers that came back from last year, even after being plowed and tilled under!
With their beetle infested leaves
A green bean blossom
The first of the cucumbers–we already ate these!
Some queen ann’s lace, looking pretty along the fence
A snow pea blossom…
…and a couple of snow peas–these are so good!
One of seven pepper plants (no peppers yet)
The first of the sunflowers
A dew drop on one of the sunflower leaves
A lettuce plant–we planted somewhere around 48 plants, but only 16 came up. I thought that would be enough for us, until we weeded it…
…and a certain SOMEBODY decided that we had weeded it just for him to snack on!!! (see below for picture of culprit)
We now have only six plants.
And, that certain somebody spent a few days locked up in the barn until we decided to have mercy on him.
The spinach escaped the goose, so we have been getting an abundant harvest of it!!!
Watermelon!
Cassia’s zinnia patch
Rhubarb–one of Daddy’s favorite kinds of pie!
Some wild daisies growing on the other side of the fence
Some pears from our pear tree
An apple
Last year our apple trees gave us about eight bushels of apples!!! Hopefully they’ll do well this year too!
One of many morning glories I found out in the garden. For some reason I don’t think they’re supposed to be there!
A strawberry plant
We’ve been pinching the numerous blossoms off these little plants so they can grow bigger before producing strawberries–hopefully next year we’ll have lots and lots of strawberries from them!
Carrots!
The boys have discovered these, and occasionally (when nobody is looking) they sneak a little snack
This concludes our garden tour–I hope you have enjoyed yourself!

Oh my goodness-what a perfect garden you have, and so beautiful! I'm jealous. We have 2 tomato plants, one chili plant, and that is IT! We don't have much space, but it's something. Lol. Thank you for giving us a tour of your wonderful garden!
God Bless,
Frances
