 But Not Forsaken

But Not Forsaken

This is a story of a refugee family in the years following World War II.  It is fiction, but is based on many real-life tales told to the author by refugee friends. A very neat book!

Cute Quotes

We have often told the little girls not to water the flowers while the sun is shining on them, or else the sun will scorch the plants.

So, one rainy day the sun started shining while it was still raining, and Bekah said, “Oh no! It’s raining on the flowers and the sun is shining, it’s going to fry them!”

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Charissa asked out of the blue, “Is this tomorrow?”

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

One night Anna put a tape of Otto Koning’s missionary stories in their tape player to listen to while going to sleep. Bekah was whining and said, “I want that music off!”

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Some things Charissa said while playing house with Bekah:

“Bring your childs too!”

“Mommy, the phone is answering!”

(meaning, the phone is ringing)
