 Chocolate Cheesecake Muffins

3 oz. cream cheese

 2 T. sugar                                                                      1/2 t. salt

1 C. flour                                                                         1 beaten egg

1/2 c. sugar                                                                    3/4 c. milk

3 T. cocoa                                                                      1/3 c. oil

2 t. baking powder                                                        Powdered sugar for sprinkling on top : )

1 to 1-1/2 c. chocolate chips

In small bowl, beat cream cheese and 2 T. sugar unil light and fluffy.  Set aside.  In large bowl, stir together flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder and salt.  Combine egg, milk and oil.  Add all at once to dry ingredients, stirring until just moistened.   Batter should be lumpy.  Fold in chocolate chips.  Spoon about 2 T. of chocolate batter into greased muffin tin.   Drop 1 teaspoon of cream cheese on top, then more choclate batter.  Bake at  375 degrees for 20 min.  Dust with powdered sugar if desired.
