A few weeks ago, a girl (who I will call ‘A.S’ )  at our church had a contest where we could invent whatever we liked : )  Since one of my least favorite things to do is stand at the door, freezing to death while the dog goes out, I invented  a "Dogz Friend"–a robot that will take our dog outside for us : )  Here is a picture of the drawing–

On the left hand side of the drawing is a "poem" that I wrote about the invention–it isn’t supposed to be very good poetry, especially since it was written at 2:00 in the morning : D  Actually, the time I wrote on the drawing was 2:54 a.m..

‘Tis the night before deadline

when my drawing I start

And since it’s so late

I’m not terribly smart : )

But here’s my invention

A Dogz Friend it is

It takes care of my dog

and has multiple choices

It will give my dog water

it will give my dog food

it will take my dog potty

like very friend should.

Because I should tell you

it’s a pet peeve of mine

to be sewing a dress,

and my dog starts to whine.

Yes, she has to go potty

and I have to watch her

She takes her sweet time

in the freezing cold weather.

So this Thing-a-ma-bob

will take my dog out

it won’t care if it’s cold

or that my dog is a poke.

And next time I’m sewing

and my dog starts to whine,

I’ll say "Thing-a-ma-bob,

you take her this time!"

Here is a close up, but I can’t get it very big without it getting blurry .

Below is a picture of the yummy lemon cake that A.S. made for the prize for winning the invention contest…I would have taken a picture when the cake was whole, but some of us ate the missing part of cake on the way home from church .

It is delicious!

Thank you A.S!
