WHEW!!!   Got rid of that ugly, UGLY UGLY frog avatar!!!     We changed our avatar…so now we all have christmas tree ball ornaments on our ears.

Okay, now about the "kids" as baby goats are called:

Yesterday, someone brought us two baby goats about 2 weeks old.   None of my sisters wanted them (mostly because they are bottle fed). But I really wanted them so I got them!     They are supposed to be Nubian but they look more like Boer.  I can see the Nubian in them…like their ears and noses : )   But they are too short and "fat"—well, not really fat, but kind of "stocky"—to be Nubians. So I googled the breeds for pictures and I am pretty sure that is what they are–Nubian/Boer cross.

They are both girls…so adorable!!!  Since they are still pretty young, they have to be bottle fed about 4 times a day and once in the middle of the night.  I love goats!!   Especially baby goats!

Here are a few pictures of them…and the *spoiled* cats!!!   They were rubbing all over me and the goats, trying to get their milk!

The cats are always in the way!…as you can see–the cat tails

Some of the cats with the goats under the heat lamp…where it’s warm!!

Later that night when I went out to feed them…there were a lot more cats

under there!

P.S. If you didn’t know…or catch on, Boer and Nubian are breeds of goats

I can see the Nubian in the brown goat in the second picture. We don't have goats πŸ™ but a few weeks ago, we got to go see some one day olds, and two day olds, who were all nubians. They were soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo cute!!! LOL! My favorite was the runt of the little, because he was so small. πŸ™‚ You can see pics at /alizona.

Oh how cute! I adore baby goats!

When we move to our new farm (just a future hope) I plan to incorporate kids into my line up of animals and yet they won't stay little forever, to my dismay.

    ~Have a great Day!

    Love

Look at those fuzzy guys!! Oh so cute πŸ™‚

That they are definitely are — delicious. πŸ˜‰

Tonight, like last year, we are celebrating the new year at the house of family friends/with mutual friends. We will sleep over and spend News Year Day together too! πŸ™‚ So fun. We are leaving in an hour. We sleep over (we are sleeping at an extra wing of the host grandfathers house this time) because they live a little over an hour away and we don't care to drive at dark on New Years Eve. πŸ˜‰

What about you guys??. . .er, girls. πŸ˜€

    Cute avatar, btw.

Yes, the white kid with the brown head is a Boer goat, or possibly a cross. The markings are Traditional markings of the Boer goat breed!

I don't remember if you said if they were sisters or not, so the brown kid could either be a colored Boer, Nubian or a Nubian/Boer cross.

    Have fun with them!

My next set of Nubians are due in 2-3 weeks! I have 4 does due in this grouping! πŸ˜‰
