We’ve been awful quiet on the blog for a long while, partly because of the 4H fair craziness, and partly because we just let life get in the way.

But at any rate, I’m going to try to do a picture (or two, or three!) a day next week during the fair, as well as the three days of judging this week.

That way you can kind of ‘come along’ with us to the fair ๐Ÿ˜‰

Today they are judging the sewing projects, and this is Anna’s project. ย She came up with the idea, and between her and Leah, they made up a pattern and Anna sewed it up. ย There was a little trial and tribulation trying to figure out how to add the chiffon skirt, and sewing the slippery stuff, but she came out triumphant with new skills, and a pretty dress ๐Ÿ™‚

These pictures are from a photoshoot she and Leah did at the park yesterday…

Anna's 4H Dress

We’ve never done fashion review…just because we never have ๐Ÿ˜€ ย But this year the judge and a few other people convinced Anna, Bekah, and Noah to do it ๐Ÿ˜€

We normally only compete in the construction part, where the judge goes over your seams and stitches and looks at how well you’ve made it. ย In fashion review, you get to wear and model your outfit, and it is judged on how well it looks on you.

Bekah, modeling her jumper and blouse. ย She made up the jumper pattern by the way…isn’t she good?!

They had tons of fun, and I hear they’re planning on doing Fashion Review from now on ๐Ÿ˜€

I’ll be back tomorrow with another picture (or five!) ๐Ÿ˜‰

Lol! I’m not even sure I know exactly what they got! I think they’ve all received blue ribbons on everything, and a few blue honors. We’ll know about Grand and Reserve Champions on Sunday, I think! They like to keep that part a surprise ๐Ÿ˜€

Anna’s project = that dress is gorgeous!!
I could see myself wearing it to a business function for my husband. Classy and modest. SO hard to find gowns and dresses like that!
