These little pinwheels are super easy and fun to make! So, to start  you’ll need:

•sissors

•pinking sheers

•heat’n’bond (ultra hold)

•fabric

•button

•iron

•hot glue gun

Assembly: Start by cutting out 2 squares of fabric, any size you’d like, I cut mine out at 2×2″ (which will end up as 3×3″ at the end) And a square of the same size, out of heat’n’bond. You can use interfacing, but that would require sewing. Start with the wrong side of one square facing up, and the square of heat’n’bond, paper side facing up, rough side facing down.

iron on for 2 seconds, allow to cool, NOTE: (You might want to put down a piece of scrap fabric on your ironing board, so that you don’t get the glue on it…which is NOT easy to pick off…trust me! =D )

then peel off the paper

Take the other square of fabric, and place it on the wrong side, (both wrong sides are together) and iron for 8-10 seconds. But again, make sure you have the cloth on, so no glue gets on the ironing board. 🙂

Allow to cool. Take your pinking sheers and cut close to the edge of the square,

Fold the square  in half, and half again, crease the edges.

Unfold and cut from all 4 corners, not all the way to the middle.

Have your glue gun ready with the matching button,

apply a dot of glue for each wing of the pinwheel, glue each one down, and add a button on top!

AND YOUR DONE!!!!!

The finished product

And…if you don’t really want to make them yourself, you can head over to our etsy shop and set up a custom order with us! =)
