Quote of the Week

“Sometimes we can let ourselves go through times of discouragement because we start feeling sorry for ourselves, instead of realizing that God can give us new encouragement if we just go to Him and ask.”

Exodus to a Hidden Valley

This is kind of like a missionary version of ‘Swiss Family Robinson’ 😀  We are friends of the children of Tom Morse, so it was fun to read about their grandparents’  and relatives adventures settling their ‘Hidden Valley’ when they were pushed out of Burma by the government.

Cute Quotes

One day Jessica was playing ‘Go Fish’ with the boys–their new favorite game.  They had new names for each of the fish, calling the Angler the ‘eating fish’ and an Angel fish the ‘kissing fish’, the ‘Hammerhead Shark’ the ‘building fish’, etc.  When Jessica asked Isaiah for a certain fish, he looked through his cards and said, “Goat fishy!” (go fish!)

Once upon a time, Noah had his very own rabbit.  Sadly, the bunny died. That has been several months ago.

Recently, Susannah was teasing him and told him he needed to go feed his rabbit.

Noah replied: “Uh…it’s in the ground!”

When you make your own clothes, you often have scraps of material left over…and then the scraps get made into other things.  Many of our cloth napkins were made from said scraps.  When Noah was looking at some old pictures and saw Susannah was wearing a dress that we have a matching napkin made out of, he said, “Look!  Her dress is made out of a napkin!!!”

Oh, and that cat video was hilarious! And so were your “bloopers” for the apple dumpling video! 😆

your brother would probably say to me, “your curtains are made out of a tablecloth” or “your apron is made out of some curtains” cause we have made lots of stuff with leftover curtain fabric (its really pretty flowers!)

I loved this post! The cat video was awesome 😀

The Napkin qoute was too cute! My nana, who is a very crafty lady, once made a curtain out of an old skirt. It has become the joke that she has “skirtains” in her house! 😀

Lol! I love that…’skirtains’ 😀 Kind of the opposite of the ‘Sound of Music’, right?! 😀

Hi, I love your recipe and I would like to know what is the name of the utensil you are using to mix the butter with the flour. I live in France and have never seen such a useful tool! If you could give me the name of it, I could try to purchase one via amazon!

Thank you in advance, and may God bless you,
