We watched ‘The Polar Express’ a couple of nights ago…one of our favorite Christmas movies 😀 The boys got a ‘Polar Express’ train for Christmas, so we were excited to watch the movie again.
One little part stood out to me in a different way. At the end when the boy is getting off the train and thanks the conductor, he replies,
“No. Thank you. One thing about trains…it doesn’t matter where you’re going. What matters is deciding to get on.”
Of course, you want to make sure you’re getting on the right train, but in a way this is like our Christian life…when I’m on Jesus’ train it doesn’t matter where he takes me. What really matters is whether or not I decide to get on. He’s not going to let me fall off the train and leave me in some frozen tundra. I might slip, (actually it’s likely that I’ll slip at times!) but he’ll always catch me,
…and I’m going to get the ride of my life!
Why stay in the comfy house when you can have an adventure?! 😀
Of course, I do not recommend basing all of your Christian life off of Polar Express, but I just wanted to share that little part with you 😀 Let’s not worry about stepping outside of our comfort zone…or about what others will think of us. Let’s get on the train!
p.s. speaking of Christmas movies…what are some of your favorites?! 😀
