Happy 2010 everyone!!! This New Year’s Eve we had a lot of fun! Two families came over and we celebrated with lots of food and games (and noise!). At the end of this post you’ll even have a chance to hear all of the noise we made . Most of us stayed awake until 4:30–then we crashed! Cassia stayed awake until 10:00 the next morning : )
This New Year’s Eve was special…did you know that it was the first "blue moon" on New Years Eve that we’ve had in 19 years?!
And to top it all off…our goat Daisy, had triplets!!! In the past years she has only ever had one baby, so this was quite a surprise! We had gone outside around 4:00 to wake ourselves up, and we heard baby goats in the barn!
Brocolli Cauliflower Salad
Sweet Potato Fries
Chocolate Dipped Pretzels
Spiced Apple Cider
The Games 🙂
Battle in a Bucket
and others that I am sure I am forgetting!
Cassia, with all the yummyful pretzels 🙂
Noah and Bekah
Our game of Pictionary 🙂 We were playing this around 3:30 in the morning : )
Daisy, the proud new mother of triplets .
The babies…aren’t they cute?! We joked that we should name them "Happy", "New", and "Year" or "Dos", "Mil", and "Diez" (Spanish for "Two Thousand Ten" ).
Getting ready to make some noise!
Susannah, Cassia, Leah…
…Anna, Bekah, Charissa
…Goatgirl and Jessica.
Here is the noise! Beware! It’s at least a full minute of nothing but whistles and pots and pans!!!
You might be able to see the big exercise ball in the background. We got tired of watching the ball drop on TV because they showed very little of the ball and very much of everything else we weren’t interested in…so this is our own version of watching the ball drop : D We always drop it from the top of the swingset fort : )
Happy New Year!
