Happy birthday America!

I am so glad that you are my country!   I was walking in ‘my’ big lovely cornfield, thanking God for you the other day 🙂

You are one of the few (perhaps only) nations to be built on the solid foundation of the light and gospel of Jesus Christ.

You are one of the few nations to rise to such prosperity, success, and influence in such a short amount of time.  What blessings He has given you!

And God caused me to be born here.  At this time. In this amazing and wonderful place.

I thank God for you.  And I thank God for the brave soldiers who gave their lives so that we could be free.  I am proud to be a part of you.

I know you’re not perfect.  But that is no surprise…we live in an imperfect world.

But I pray for you.  I pray for God’s mercy, for His Light, for His Glory.  I pray for revival.  You’re not finished yet.  You still have much to do!  Things are being shaken so that the unnecessary falls away.   The increasing darkness is only causing His incredible Light and Love to shine the brighter.

A revival is coming.  The power of Jesus’ Love cannot be stopped.  His Love has dynamite power.  Only it instead of destroying things…it restores them to wholeness and beauty!

I pray that His Light and Glory will flood your land!  And it will 🙂

Shine, America, shine!  Be a beacon of the Hope and Love and Redemption of Jesus Christ!  May you live long, and may you be a blessing to the nations!

My country, ’tis of thee, Sweet land of liberty,

Of thee I sing;

Land where my fathers died, Land of the pilgrims’ pride,

From ev’ry mountainside

Let freedom ring!

Our fathers’ God to Thee, Author of liberty,

To Thee we sing.

Long may our land be bright, With freedom’s holy light,

Protect us by Thy might,

Great God our King.
