…we all looked like this:

Sunday afternoon the youngers informed us that there was a groundhog under the deck outside the front door. At least they thought it was a groundhog.  We all came running out (because it’s not everyday you get to see a groundhog). We didn’t leave the deck at first, but stomped around trying to get it to come out.   We soon discovered that he wasn’t about to leave his safe dwelling…in the far back where nothing could reach him…or he thought.  Eventually we all (or all who where around) ended up at the end of the sidewalk to try to get a glimpse of him. Daddy poked around with a stick, stomped, and would keep asking, “where is he now?”  Every time the groundhog seemed to be right under Daddy and it provided great entertainment.

He then decided to try to chase him out with water…hooking up a hose and spraying water at him. He eventually came out and ran around to the back of the house. But it was enough to see that he was indeed a groundhog…and a wet one too.

They are funny little fellers 🙂

Hee hee! We don’t have groundhogs around here. If you travel for a few hours, we’ll get into marmot country, and I guess marmots are a kind of groundhog. 😀 Nothing like a little wild animal entertainment!

We have Raccoons and Opossums. I once touched a Opossum (on accident of course!!!) I was really freaked out!!
I had NO IDEA what I was touching and it was dark! That made it even worse. I hope I never do that again.

    * Note to self; Do not go into barn AT NIGHT, Do not reach into a DARK BIN to feed animals ever again! Lol!
